What a fab fun week for the cadets of 423df. Monday night saw the cadets at Huntly Nordic centre doing a taster session of grass skiing and then tubing. A fun night had by all. And then 2 cadets got the opportunity to attend the longest day gliding event along with other cadets from North Scotland Wing at RAF Kirknewton. A long but enjoyable day.

If you are interested in finding out what your local air cadets do. Get in contact. We will be holding an open evening in August with our intake being September.

We are doing a celebration post for the cadets and staff.

2 cadets gained their blue aviation badge

7 cadets gained their blue space badge.

Flt Lt Birkett got shortlisted for the CARAS (Cadet Adult Recognition Award). This is where cadets nominate a member of CFAV (Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer). Whereas she didn't win, in her own words she stated "by being shortlisted, I had won and in fact it is not "I" but "we" as the staff team is what makes the DF so great". The Aberdeen Town house was the setting for this event and it was amazing to be part of and it just happened to coincide with volunteers week too!!!

If you would like to volunteer as a Cadet Forces Adult Volunteer then please get in contact.

Equally if you are 12 and in S1 and like the sound of cadets. We have a waiting list and our next intake will be September 2026
