Climate Change Grant Fund 💚🌿

Royal Leamington Spa Town Council is inviting applications from local not-for-profit organisations working on climate and sustainability projects.

There is still £7,000 available, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.

More than £33,000 has already been awarded to support a range of projects across the town.

Recently, Cycleways received funding from the Climate Change Grant Fund, which helped towards the purchase of a new trailer. This will allow the group to transport its displays to events by bike, without needing to rely on car transport.

A memorable day in Leamington Spa on Sunday, 23 August, as the final stage of the Lloyds Tour of Britian Women cycling race came to town.

With the race starting and finishing in Leamington Spa and the Pump Room Gardens transformed into the Tour Village, it was a fantastic occasion for both residents and visitors.

The Mayor pictured with the Chairman of Warwick District Council, Cllr Pam Redford was pleased to attend and start the Bicycle Buses race, in which around 100 adults and children took part, representing 12 groups from across Warwickshire.

Bicycle Buses are a fantastic community initiative, with adult volunteers riding protectively around children as they cycle safely to school.

A great day for Leamington Spa 🚴‍♀️
