Harry Stamper along with the rest of his team mates at Fareham HC U18's have got through to the England Plate semi-finals after a sound victory over Marlow. Harry chipped in with two assists in a 7-0 demolition of Marlow HC.The finals day takes place at the Olympic Park at Lee Valley - Chryso wish him and the team the best of luck.

James Simpson selected for England U21 in European Hockey Championship

James Simpson from Pailton was selected for the England U21 Hockey team that played in the recent European Championships in Brussels.
James, a former pupil at Princethorpe College started his hockey career at Rugby and East Warwickshire HC, before moving on to Olton and West Warwicks and will be representing Hampstead and Westminster when he starts at King's College, London in September.
Lawrence Webb, who played with James in the Rugby & EW HC 1st XI 5 years ago and has sponsored him as he represented England at U16 and U18 level before moving to U21 this year, said " I have known James since he was a talented junior working his way through the club sides and have been proud to be part of his success at international level".
England faced Belgium, Poland and France in the group stages, with emphatic victories in all three games scoring 14 goals en route to the semi-final. The semi itself was a hard fought encounter against a talented dutch side, which saw the Netherlands sneak a win 2-1 to leave England to play the host nation, Belgium in the 3rd-4th playoff game.
Another tense match saw England come out on top after a penalty shoot out , to claim the bronze medal.

England U21 international James Simpson has retuned from the recent four nations tournament in N Ireland, where England invariably lost out in the final to Germany on penalties.Great experience for Simmo, and great exposure for Chryso.Simmo heads off today to Italy for a 12 month professional league stint - we wish him the very best.
