L&BPS did superb work in September 2023 in a large, vacant house 100 miles from where I live. Insurers insisted on a fire-alarm soon after the start of a new policy. It had to be installed by professionals and monitored by a third-party control room, but they gave no other specification.
I approached 11 companies, starting on a Saturday. L&BPS’ MD, Mark Childs, had answered by Sunday pm: “We can definitely help you …”
A week later I had to set a deadline for quotes from 6 companies and for deciding between them. Only Mark grasped the insurers’ deadline and my decision timescale. He designed and explained a system based on his expert experience, the particular property, and relevant British Standards.
Mark kept me informed throughout: testing signal-strength onsite, sourcing equipment, installing and testing kit, setting monitoring up. All this included out-of-hours work.
Mark was committed to building the right system on time. The job could not have been done any better.
