Child Safety Week 2026 runs from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th June. It’s a chance for families to build confidence and skills in managing the real risks to children’s safety.

🎨 Celebrating National Creativity Day🎨

As part of Halton Council's Culture 26 events programme Shopping City is hosting a FREE creative workshop.

Join artist Georgina Ridehalgh to make 16 Hot Air Balloons which will be displayed in Community Square to celebrate National Hot Air Balloon Day on Friday 5th June. 🎈

All ages are welcome, come on your own or with family and friends.

📍 Shopping City, Community Square

And It’s ALL FREE! 🙌

With parts of the country reaching 29°C today, please share our Summer Water Safety advice to help keep your community safe around water.

⚠️Stay safe:

• Enter the water slowly and carefully
• Stay within reach of others
• Swim in supervised, lifeguarded areas

🛟In an emergency:

• If you fall in or become tired, stay calm, float on your back, and call for help
• If you see someone in difficulty, throw them something that floats
• Call 999
• If you're at the coast, ask for the Coastguard
