Ambulance Rescue has truly been international this week with two repatriations from Spain.

We have had a crew pop down to Malaga to collect a patient and repatriate them to the UK and this weekend they are off to Alicante for another!

All fun in the sun for our repat division!

In the meantime back in Blighty we have had discharge crews at Northampton General - In a single day our crews discharged 12 patients in just 11 hours!

We provided High Dependency transfers from Northampton General to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, Private transfers from Bristol to Wales - On top of our night shift high dependency transfer service to EMED Group out of Cambridge.

This weekend we have crews supporting PTS in Yorkshire and our patient extrication and rescue team deployed a team to assist to extricate and transfer a complex patient.

Finally on Monday we are proud to announce we have been awarded a contract with North Northamptonshire Council for home to schools specialist transport for children with complex needs and disabilities.

Another incredible week for the team at Ambulance Rescue - As well as our core support to the NHS delivering 24/7 cover for paramedic lead high dependency at Cambridgeshire University Hospitals trusts on behalf of EMED Group we popped down to Enfield to deliver some ambulance care assistant manual handling training to
Greenplace Healthcare.

On the way home our crew came across a multi vehicle RTC and provided immediate care in partnership with EEAST before the arrival of further resources.

However the day wasn’t over as later that night we received a priority request for a last minute emergency air side repatriation for life saving surgery.

Within 60 minutes we were airside awaiting the patient to deliver them to the specialist transplant team to a hospital in London.

And finally today we are deploying a paramedic lead ambulance to support Meditech Global Ltd at Trent Valley for their go karting provision and we have a paramedic lead incident support unit working on behalf of Safetex Medical Solutions Limited in Somerset covering a rugby 7s event and we have a secure transfer crew going out tonight for a pre-planned transfer arranged by the local AHMP to a new unit!

Safe to say it’s been a busy week for Ambulance Rescue!

It’s been an incredible few weeks at ambulance rescue having launched our 24 hour paramedic HDU contract supporting EMED group, undertaking bariatric rescue support, delivering patient transport to the NHS and event medical cover across the UK and private transfers across the country. We have purchased 3 new ambulances this month to cope with demand and we will be expanding our fleet even further this month to cope with demand.
