Quarr Abbey Teashop & Farm Shop Quarr Abbey is home to a small group of Benedictine monks who strive to dedicate their lives to the glory of God.

Quarr Abbey is a working Benedictine Monastery and home to a community of monks who dedicate their life to prayer, contemplation and community life. With free admission and car parking to the grounds and property; whether visiting the church, pilgrim chapel, the teashop and farm shop, the art gallery, monastery shop, visiting the ruins, or simply wandering the grounds to experience the peaceful and tranquil atmosphere of the monastery, Quarr Abbey offers interest and enjoyment for all to enjoy.

Good morning from Quarr Abbey,

We currently have the following job vacancy available at Quarr Abbey.

• Guesthouse Housekeeper – 15 hours per week. 5 hours a day. Wednesday to Friday. This is a permanent position.

Applicants must be 18 years or over and must have a sensitivity to working in a monastic environment. Applicants must be available Wednesday to Friday with flexibility to cover additional hours and holidays when needed. Days of work are non-negotiable.

Duties will include laundry, cleaning and turning over rooms, cleaning all communal areas of the guesthouse whilst coordinating with the existing housekeeper to ensure all areas are covered. Rate of pay is Living Wage according to age.
Candidates should be hard working, reliable, and have a sensitivity to the history and culture of Quarr. If you would like to become part of the Quarr Abbey team and are interested in this vacancy, then please send your CV along with a covering letter F.A.O Tracy Osborn at [email protected]

Hello from Quarr Abbey,

There are still a few spaces left for our Fish and Chips Night tomorrow (Thursday 22nd Oct). 5.30pm - 7.30pm.

Traditional fish and chips served with mushy peas, homemade curry sauce or tartare sauce. Followed by sticky toffee pudding served with cream or custard. £14.95 for 2 courses.

Hello from Quarr Abbey,

Don't let the rainy weather put you off! Come and warm yourself and dry off by our log burner in the tea shop.

We have a brand new sandwich special - Autumn Caprese. Mozzarella, roasted squash, pesto, caramelised onion and sun-dried tomatoes in a toastie. Served with salad and fries, £14.95.

We also have our popular soup of the day and toastie offer back on - £9.95

Why not finish it off with our hot chocolate special - Toasted marshmallow hot chocolate - £4.95

While you are here you can pop in to the farm shop and pick yourself up some Quarr Abbey Apiary Ale. Currently on offer - Buy 4 and get a 5th one Free!

You can even pop into our Christmas shop and start your Christmas shopping early.

We're pleased to announce that our marquee is now open for the winter months, providing additional seating to enjoy our café. Dogs are also welcome!

This Thursday night is our food evening, this week it’s corned beef hash followed by cheesecake all for £14.95 please book online at: www.quarrabbey.org, while you’re there check out our other events leading all the way up to December.
We also have our Christmas shop open up in the courtyard with lots of lovely handmade gifts made by local businesses, which you must pop into while you visit.

Good afternoon all, tomorrow evening is our food night, this week it’s a Yorkshire pudding, sausage and mixed veg main course followed by sticky toffee pudding, 2 courses for £14.95, what a bargain, you can book this online at: www.quarrabbey.org
Check out our other food events while you’re there, on every week up to December.
We also have our Autumn teas which are on every day from 12-4, this will need 24 hours notice for booking.
Our Christmas shop is now open in the courtyard, so make sure you pop along and have a look.
