St Agnes Library is open today from 2pm - 5pm (Tuesday 1st September) ✅

🧭 The Cornwall Reading Challenge ends on Saturday 12th September. What stage are your children at?

There are some great incentives along the way, to keep children reading/engaged with Cornwall Libraries over the holidays.

2 books/activities - an Extraordinary Explorers wristband

4 books/activities - a small compass or magnifying glass

6 books/activities - an Extraordinary Explorers medal/keyring and a code for a FREE Treasure Trail (worth £10.99)

💦 There are also colouring or puzzle sheets at each stage, a voucher for a FREE swim at registration!

If your children have signed up, please pop in and update us with their progress.

⛔ St Agnes Library is CLOSED TODAY (31st August) for Bank Holiday Monday.

✅ We reopen from 2pm - 5pm tomorrow (Tuesday 1st September) and look forward to welcoming you back then!

🖍️ If you've got a 'What Carnival means to me' activity pack, please return it via the library letterbox by the END OF TODAY! We'd recommend protecting it in something like an old envelope.

✏️All entries will be gathered together for judging tomorrow (Tuesday). Don't worry if you haven't completed the whole pack, any drawings or illustrations you've done will be great!

St Agnes Library will be closed tomorrow (31st August) for Bank Holiday Monday. We reopen from 2pm - 5pm on Tuesday 1st September and look forward to welcoming you back then!

St Agnes Library is open today from 10am - 1pm (Saturday 29th August)

Last chance to win Elsie the toy elephant and/or enter the St Agnes Carnival Activity pack competition!

🐘 1pm TODAY is your last chance to enter our draw to win Elsie. 50p cash only please. The proceeds go to the Friends of the Library group, to be used for events or resources for our wonderful library.

🖍️TODAY is also your last chance to buy a Carnival Activity pack. £1 cash only please. This money will be split between the St Agnes Carnival Committee and the Library. Show us what the village event means to you with colourful illustrations.
Return your pack via our postbox by the end of Bank Holiday Monday 31st August 2026. We'd recommend placing it inside an old envelope. Even if you've only done a couple of drawings, please return your pack!

Open today, 3pm - 7pm, Friday 28th August 2026

Return your completed 'What Carnival means to me' activity pack!
🗓️The official deadline to hand it in by is 7pm today, but we will accept entries handed in between 10am - 1pm tomorrow, or you can even drop it in via our letterbox over the Bank Holiday Weekend, protecting it in something like an old envelope.
The absolute deadline is the end of the day on Monday 31st August 2026, so that entries will be gathered together and judged on Tuesday 1st September.
👛If you haven't yet collected an activity pack, buy one today or tomorrow and get sketching! £1, CASH only please, the money goes to St Agnes Library and St Agnes Carnival Committee.

🐘 It's also the final 2 days to have a chance to win Elsie, our adorable, cuddly toy elephant! 50p CASH only please. The proceeds go towards the Friends of St Agnes Library. Competition closes at 1pm on Saturday 29th August 2026.

😃 Storytime was making our mouths water yesterday! St Agnes Library was delighted to host Littlecornishwriter Tracy Curran, for a special author storytime session!

🦦🐊Tracy read her charming book 'How not to share a pizza'! A story about sharing, friendship and pizza!
We discovered Otto and Ali and how sharing fairly can be tricky!

🍕 After the story, children joined in with a range of pizza themed activities like spot the different toppings, colouring, word search and maze sheets, and then made their own perfect slice by adding stick-on topping pieces!

👏Thank you to all the families that attended and special thanks to Tracy for visiting and staying on for an extended time so that more children could join in with the craft activities.

🌧️ Sadly this morning's outdoor Storytime session at Mount Hawke Millennium Green has been CANCELLED due to the poor weather. Tuesday 25th August 2026.

St Agnes Library will be open as usual from 2pm until 5pm today and we look forward to welcoming you then. We've got brand new books for you to borrow and the Cornwall Reading Challenge is underway!

You can also still enter the 'What Carnival means to me' and Elsie the elephant competitions! Cash only for these please.
