From next Thursday 3 September, our English Conversation Group will be back up and running every Thursday morning!

Looking for a relaxed and friendly environment to practise your English language conversation skills? 😄📣💬 Join us for a chat over tea and coffee and meet new people while practising English.

Held in St Albans Library's Creator Space, this free drop-in session runs from 10.30-11.30am every Thursday.

Vikki Slade, is championing a bill in Parliament calling for a Young Carer Champion in every school in England, helping ensure young carers can access the support they need.

And it could change the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.

In schools where a Young Carer Champion is already in place, attendance increases by 10 days every year.

Time to reveal the answer to last week's ! 📍🔍

This was the main entrance on Chequer Street to the car park which preceded the Maltings shopping centre, taken in 1969. On the left we have what is now Hotel Chocolat, then next to that Saxby’s Butcher. On the right-hand edge of the photo there is what was at that time the Chequers Bingo Hall (previously the Chequers Cinema).

Our summer crafts kicked off a few weeks ago with these fabulous pebbles! 🤩

Painted and decorated in all manners of creative ways, we had pebble mermaids, bees, ladybirds, fish, cats and more! 💫
