Beach Toilets. The mens' toilets have two problems currently. There is only one cubicle available due to vandalism. The urinal is blocked and will require a complete strip down of pipework. Remedial work is scheduled for this week.

A reminder that this road closure starts tomorrow. United Utilities have advised that access for residents within the closure will be maintained wherever possible, but to factor in extra time for journeys. They have also advised that if residents have specific queries re access, they should speak to the team on site.

UPDATE - Owner now found, thank you.

If you are the owner of a white Vauxhall that had been parked in the station car park this week, can you please move it as soon as possible. It will not be possible to plane or resurface the station car park otherwise. Thank you for your co-operation.

Egremont Road is currently closed for installation of speed cushions. However, residents within the closure on Egremont Road have access, as well as emergency services and waste collection vehicles.

There will be some disruption to access for residents on Egremont Road on Thursday when laying the surfacing around these. However, this will be kept to a minimum and once the tarmac has cooled sufficiently, residents will be able to access their properties. Traffic Management will be on site to speak with residents about the best way past the works while these are being carried out.

We will provide an update on Thursday when we know what time this work will begin.

19/05/2026

Further to our previous post, the entrance to the station car park will be closed off after the works team finish their shift today to ensure that the car park is empty for the work planned in there on Thursday and Friday.

19/05/2026

The station car park will be planed on Thursday and then on Friday it will be surfaced and the parking bays will be relined.

If you are parked in the station car park, can you move your car before Thursday please so that this work can go ahead. Thank you for your co-operation.
