Watch a movie have a chat, share a dish, use your platform…

There are so many simple ways to get involved in this year's Refugee Week.

Simple Acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees, make new connections in our communities & be part of a global movement taking small steps to create big change.

We may see v**es more and more in every day life, but there are facts we don't necessarily know.
Vapes containing ni****ne are age restricted products, meaning it's illegal to sell them to under 18's.
Vapes are not harmless - they can cause short term effects like coughing, headaches, dizziness and sore throats. Long term effects are yet unknown.
Vapes are harmful to the environment with most ending up in landfills.

If you currently v**e there are services to help you quit - get in touch or check out the NHS website.

We are always on the look out for bikes for our bike sessions, but this time it's just old adult bikes tat are needed.
Take a look at Salford City Council post below for more details and when collection can take place.

Unwanted adult bikes needed - FREE collection

If you have an unused adult bike that you no longer want, please consider donating it for use of young, unemployed Salford residents who are taking part in our Salford Employment Hub summer programmes. Our Riding to Success community programme in partnership with Manchester Bike Kitchen will provide a unique opportunity for 16- to 24-year-olds to develop their teamworking skills and confidence.

Participants in the programme will be trained to repair and maintain the bikes, and keep the bike they repair, providing them with essential and sustainable transportation. Extra bikes will be gifted to young carers and those in local authority care, helping them cycle to work or training they are undertaking.

Please note, we are not accepting children's bikes.

🗓️ Bike collection days: Friday 17 and Tuesday 21 July 2026

Contact [email protected] to arrange your collection.
