One year ago today, the fact-finding trial for Patrick Lowe concluded, with all five facts found proven. While we were relieved by the outcome, it still did not feel as though justice had truly been served.

It was on this day that Simon’s Law UK was born, and our campaign for justice began.

One year on, our determination remains as strong as ever. We continue to fight for the changes needed to better protect others and to ensure that survivors & their families facing similar circumstances receive the justice, support, and accountability they deserve.

This journey has not been easy, but our commitment has never wavered. We will keep pushing forward until meaningful change is achieved.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year. Together, we will continue to make our voices heard.

One year on. Still fighting. Still determined. Still seeking justice for others.

One year ago today, the fact-finding trial began — one of the hardest and most painful weeks of our lives.

From surviving child s*xual abuse, to speaking the truth in court, to rebuilding life afterwards, this past year has changed us forever. But from that pain came purpose, and from that experience Simon’s Law UK was born.

What began in heartbreak and determination has grown into a voice for awareness, protection, and change for children and survivors.

Today we reflect not only on the trauma of that week, but on the strength it took to survive it, speak out, and keep going.

For every survivor, every child, and every family still fighting — we see you, and we will keep fighting too. ❤️

If this was your son, your brother, your husband, your friend, would you stop fighting? Would you accept a system where someone can be believed, and still see no justice? Would you tell them to just move on? To carry it quietly? To accept that nothing more can be done? Or would you fight with everything you had to make sure it never happened to another person again? That is why this campaign exists, because when someone you love has been failed so deeply, you don’t just sit back and accept it. You fight. We will continue to fight for Simon, for survivors, and for change 💙 ❤️

to our interview with Emma Sweeney from ITV Granada Reports.

From the very beginning, Emma’s warmth, kindness, and empathy shone through. Speaking publicly about such deeply personal and difficult experiences is never easy, but Emma created an environment where we felt safe, respected, and truly listened to.

For survivors, and their families compassion and understanding make an enormous difference, and we are incredibly grateful for the professionalism and care she continues to show.

We look forward to speaking with Emma again very soon and continuing these important conversations.

People often ask why survivors wait.
Why they stay silent.
Why they don’t speak sooner.
But the truth is silence is rarely simple.
For many survivors, that silence is built from fear.
Fear of not being believed.
Fear of shame.
Fear of reliving the pain.
Fear of losing everything.
For Simon, silence was never about forgetting.
It was about surviving.
And when he finally did speak, it wasn’t because the pain disappeared it was because his voice became stronger than the fear.
This post isn’t based on statistics.
It’s based on lived experience.
On trauma.
On truth.
Every survivor’s journey is different, but one thing remains the same:
Silence does not mean it didn’t happen.
It often means someone was doing their best to survive it.
To every survivor carrying untold stories you are not weak.
You survived in the only way you knew how.

Given the current political situation, we are announcing that a meeting has been planned for June 3rd with the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham and Deputy Mayor Kate Green. We will also be accompanied by Fay Maxted CEO of The Survivors Trust

This could well be a pivotal moment, but for now we are on tenterhooks waiting to see if the planned meeting will still go ahead.

Fingers crossed — we’ll keep you all posted!!
