Salisbury 800, in collaboration with Salisbury Culture, are inviting applications for small grants (£500–£2,000) for 2027, the city's celebratory year 🎭🎶🖼️

These grants are to enable local people to create event, performances, exhibitions, workshops or other community activities that celebrate our city, history, creativity, people, places or environment.

Grants will be awarded based upon the following priorities:
🎉 Celebrating our City, History & Heritage
🎨 Arts & Creativity
✨ Community & Wellbeing
🌱 Environment & Place
🧠 Learning & Discovery

Application deadline: 06 November 2026
All projects must be started and completed in 2027

FIRST LOOK: The Cloisters Salisbury, formerly the Bell & Crown, is now (back) open 🇮🇪🍺

An Irish pub in an 18th century building, The Cloisters is home to rugby and other sports, live music and the Perfect Guinness Guarantee. There's also a new Irish themed food menu coming very soon too! ☘️

With a huge range of events to get involved with and drink deals available, there's never been a better reason to pop in and check out what the team have done with the space.

Enjoy a spooky night out this September at The Haunting of Hill House at Salisbury Playhouse 👻🎭

This stage adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s best-selling ghost story is successfully ominous, engrossing and chilling.

It blends iconic theatrical horror techniques pioneered by classics like The Woman in Black with cutting-edge audiovisual technology.

Traditional stage illusions, moving set pieces and mechanical effects are enhanced by immersive soundscapes, animation and projection mapping, creating an incredibly atmospheric and technically accomplished piece of theatre.

Running in Salisbury until 03 October, this is your first chance to see this brand new production before it heads off on its UK tour 📍
