We have reported the graffiti that has been seen in the village to the 101 online webpage. I would encourage others to do the same. We should not tolerate ANY graffiti let alone any that implies racism.

Make the most of this beautiful weather but please stay safe and keep our countryside and wildlife safe. Please report anything you do notice.

With this heatwave continuing, there is an increased risk of wildfires.

Barbecues and campfires can cause wildfires.

This half-term, only light fires or BBQs where signs say you can, and ensure they are fully extinguished with water.

Take litter away with you

Please enjoy the good weather, after all, Cornwall in the sunshine is unbeatable. But please do take care.

We hope you are continuing to enjoy this lovely weather...and don't think it's "too hot".

We would appreciate you sharing awareness about the dangers of wildfires and how easily they can start in this weather.

Please pack a picnic, not a BBQ and keep our green spaces and wildlife safe. Take all litter away and be careful with ci******es and glass bottles which can easily start a fire.

If you see a fire please:
Keep a safe distance away from both fire and smoke
Call 999 for fire service
Try and provide as much information as you can such as location and size

Never attempt to put it out they can spread quickly.
Make sure you leave the immediate area to a place of safety

If you spot a wildfire when in your car, close windows and air vents. Drive to safe place and call 999 giving as much information about location and size of fire

With the Bank Holiday weekend, and hopefully some good weather on the way, Cornwall's roads are likely to get busier.

Nearly 80% of those killed and seriously injured on Cornwall’s roads over the last ten years had a Cornish postcode.

Remember, even if you know the road well, you can never know what or who else is travelling on it, or predict what they’re planning to do.

Stay focused, hazards can appear suddenly.

Heading out with a caravan this Bank Holiday Weekend?

Tow safe, Arrive safe!🚙

Before you hit the road, take a few minutes to check your setup — it could make all the difference!
• Don’t overload your towing vehicle or caravan - check your weight 🏋️‍♀️
• Secure all connections - use a breakaway cable and check indicators and lights ❇
• Inspect tyres and brakes 🛞
• Use towing mirrors for clear visibility
• Pack an emergency kit 👩‍⚕️
• Do a final walk-around check
• Practice towing if you’re new to it

Let’s keep our roads safe for everyone, and please share this with your fellow caravaners!
