Did you know you can check your blood pressure at selected Everybody Health & Leisure centres?

As part of Know Your Numbers! Week (7th to 13th September), we're encouraging our local communities to take a few minutes to check their blood pressure and understand what their numbers mean.

With clear instructions available on-site, our self-screening blood pressure machines are quick and easy to use.

High blood pressure often has no symptoms, which is why it's known as the "silent killer".

The only way to know if your blood pressure is high is to have it checked.

Keep an eye on One You Cheshire East channels over the next couple of weeks as they share how you can check your blood pressure and take a positive step towards better health!

That's why we're supporting Know Your Numbers! Week, the UK's biggest blood pressure testing and awareness campaign.

REMINDER:

From 10th-13th August, we'll be out and about capturing photos and videos at a range of our sessions to help showcase the incredible work we do and, most importantly, the amazing people who make our charity so special.

We'll be joined by a professional external filming company, alongside members of our Marketing Team, who may also be chatting to members who would like to share their story, journey, review or testimonial about their experience with us.

The content captured will help us raise awareness of our charity and the difference our sessions make. Photos and videos will be used across a wide range of marketing and advertising channels, including:

✨ Social media
✨ Leaflets and other printed materials
✨ Press and PR activity
✨ Billboards and advertisements
✨ Events and presentations
✨ Internal and external communications
✨ And much more

There's absolutely no obligation to take part in interviews or testimonials, but if you'd be happy to share your experience, we'd love to hear from you. Your story could help inspire others to take that first step and get involved. 😊

We can now share that as well as modernising and expanding the buildings, gym and studio at the Cumberland Arena in Crewe, we now have additional funding to upgrade the athletics track. We operate the Cumberland Arena in partnership with Cheshire East Council, and it is used by schools, community groups and clubs from across South Cheshire.

Now, with an almost Β£500,000 investment agreed, the arena’s athletics track is set to be restored so that it can once again provide a safe and accessible community facility to hundreds of people across the area.

The upgrades are the latest piece in a wider project which includes a new artificial 4G pitch, three new multi-purpose studio spaces to support fitness classes, community activities and targeted health and wellbeing programmes run by Everybody Health & Leisure, a new, covered spectator stand, more car parking and secure cycle shelters.
