🎈 We’re taking a break from Parties!

After some deliberation, we have decided to take a break from offering birthday parties at The Little Play Company from August. (Parties already booked in August are going ahead as planned! 😊)

So why have we decided this?….

Since we announced that we were putting the business up for sale, we have had a significant drop in Party bookings- which we totally understand. The uncertainty about the future of the business, we suspect, is putting people off booking anything months in advance.
We are also seeing a change in people’s spending habits, and in today’s current financial climate, spending hundreds of pounds on a party is not always possible, and people are really scaling down on things like this, and who can blame them!

We’re so proud to have been one of the leading providers of children’s parties in Scarborough for three years, with every single slot booked for the first 2 years, and a very busy 3rd year too! 🫶🏼

We just think sometimes a break is needed to look at what we are offering, what changes could we make to give our parties a fresh appeal, and to make them as accessible to as many families as possible. We also want to focus our time and energy into the play centre itself and make it the very best that it can be!

Our aim is to have parties back up and running by the New Year. If the business has new owners before then, it may well be earlier!

THE GOOD NEWS!….

We will be opening every Saturday from August offering two play sessions! 🙌🏻

To those who have enquired with us about parties for the end of 2026- thank you!

If anyone would like a recommendation for an alternative venue, please just drop me a message, as I can recommend some wonderful places!
