Are you coming to our Action Day on Saturday? If so, please consider bringing a donation for the The Rainbow Centre, Scarborough

They are looking for any non-perishable food items , including:
🍝 Pasta, rice, noodles and jars of sauce
🥣 Cereal, tea, coffee
🥫 Tins of beans, fruit, veg, desserts
🍫 Chocolate, biscuits and other treats
🧻 Sanitary items such as tampons, nappies and hand soap

🤔 Should Scarborough Town Councillors get an allowance for childcare?

As councillor, Stacy Bolton had less than 50% attendance at meetings over the past year. She has said on Facebook that she was unable to balance the role alongside a full time job and a young family.

Obviously, childcare is expensive and any costs would have to be paid for from the council budget. But town and parish councils tend to be dominated by older and well-off folk - and if an allowance encourages a younger, more diverse group of people to stand as councillor and represent our community it might be a cost worth paying....
