With all this dry weather we are having, Scarborough Castle is revealing some of its forgotten history. ☀

To the side of the remains of the 18th century barrack block, the dry ground has reviled the outline of the barracks courtyard that no longer stands. The black and white image shows the remains of the courtyard after the bombardment in 1914.

Scarborough Castle is FREE to Scarborough Residents this Sunday (21st June).

On the day Yorkshire Coast 1779 will be performing 'A Little Story About A Big Battle' at 11:30am & 2:00pm.
This brings to life the story of the Battle of Flamborough Head that took place off the Yorkshire Coast.

This performance is part of The Scarborough Fair Fringe Festival.
