We offer a School Direct training programme to post graduates. We are based Scarb
orough and offer teaching training to surrounding areas including Whitby, Ryedale, Filey and Bridlington. The Scarborough Teaching Alliance - Coast and Vale Teacher Training is a cross phase alliance. Coast and Vale Learning Trust are the accredited provider. We have a proven track record of training the next generation of teachers into the profession. Employability success rate is 100%. You will be mentored and supported by outstanding practitioners while in your placement schools. As trainees with the Scarborough Teaching Alliance we invest in your future and our aim is help you grow and develop as professionals in our schools throughout your career. We want students who can demonstrate the characteristics of effective learning themselves: to show real interest and enthusiasm for children's learning, to be resilient and be prepared to work hard, to show creativity and be able to critically reflect on their own learning. We will lead the co-ordination of school-to-school support. This usually involves working with a school or academy in challenging circumstances to bring about improvement. We will to identify priorities in our area and support under-performing schools and academies. Local authorities, dioceses and chains may also work with us to support schools in need of improvement. We will ensure that the best leaders are working to improve the quality of teaching and leadership where it is most needed. This includes deciding how to use the services of system leaders to provide support to other schools,

We aim to develop successful succession planning strategies to identify and develop people to fill leadership positions in the future.
5. ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐ก๐๐๐๐๐ง๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐๐ช๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ
Specialist leaders of education are outstanding middle and senior leaders. They have at least 2 yearsโ leadership experience in a particular specialism (eg maths, school business management, initial teacher training). Their role is to support individuals or teams in a similar position in other schools. They help others achieve outstanding leadership in their area of specialism. We will recruit and manage the placements of specialist leaders of education.
6. ๐๐๐จ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ค๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ
There are many areas of research that Scarborough Teaching Alliance is involved in. As well as working closely with North Yorkshire County Council developing strategies such as closing the gap we are also working with the National Literacy Trust developing early years language and communication.
