HOMESCHOOLED FAMILIES – WE’VE MADE A DECISION!

Thank you so much to everyone who commented on our post, gave us a ring or popped in to let us know which day would work best for you!

We’ve listened to your feedback, and the majority of you have told us that MONDAYS work best!

Unfortunately, we know we can’t please everyone, and we’re really sorry to those families who would have preferred a different day. We’ve had to go with the day that works best for the majority, and we hope as many of you as possible can join us!

SO, FROM NOW ON, EVERY MONDAY WILL BE OUR HOMESCHOOLED FAMILIES DAY!

Here’s what you can look forward to at Cheeky Chimps:

£1 OFF entry for every homeschooled child of school age!

FREE JUICE for every homeschooled child!

🤸 Plenty of fun, playtime and a chance for homeschooled families to get together, socialise and make new friends!

📅 EVERY MONDAY 09:30am - 3:30pm
📍 Cheeky Chimps, Scunthorpe
****TERM TIME ONLY***

PLEASE NOTE: We’ll still be open to the general public as normal, so everyone is welcome to come and play!

We’re really looking forward to welcoming our homeschooling families and hopefully building a lovely little community here at Cheeky Chimps.

Please spread the word to any other homeschooling families who might like to join us!

IMPORTANT UPDATE – OUR NEXT SEN SESSION! 🐒💙
Just a little change to let all our SEN families know about our next session during the October half-term holidays! 💙

📅 Wednesday 28th October
⏰ 5pm – 7pm

Our usual Thursday session will be moving to Wednesday for this one week only, as we have a private function booked for Thursday 29th October, which has been in the diary for a while. 😊

As always, our SEN sessions are all about creating a calmer, more relaxed environment where children can enjoy playing in a way that suits them, with lower lighting and no music or radio. 💙

🥤 FREE juice for the children!
🛴 Our NEW scooter boards are here!
🌈 And we now have handheld lava lamps to enjoy too! ✨

We can't wait to welcome you all for another lovely session! Thank you for your continued support and understanding with the date change.

Please share with any families who might benefit from joining us. Everyone deserves a space where they can feel comfortable, included and have fun! 🥰

We need your help with our SEN sessions! 💚

As many of you know, we introduced our SEN sessions to provide a quieter, calmer environment where children with additional needs can come along, play and enjoy themselves in a setting that is more comfortable for them.

Unfortunately, over the last month, attendance has been extremely low. Yesterday evening, we sadly didn't have a single SEN child attend, and at our previous session, we had just one child. 😔

This is really disappointing for us, as we genuinely want these sessions to be a success and to provide something valuable for our SEN families.

However, we also have to be honest about the reality for our little family business.

To run these sessions, we close Cheeky Chimps to the general public, meaning we turn away our usual customers from 4:30pm onwards. With the cost of running the centre, we simply cannot afford to keep closing our doors if families aren't attending.

So, we really need your feedback!

Is the low attendance because the darker winter evenings make it harder to get out with the children?

Would you prefer an earlier time, a different day, or perhaps something else that would make the sessions more accessible for your family?

Or are the sessions simply not something you need at the moment?

We WANT to continue offering a safe, welcoming and calmer play environment for SEN children and their families, but we need to know that you want it too.

🙏 PLEASE COMMENT BELOW OR SEND US A PRIVATE MESSAGE to let us know whether you would use our SEN sessions over the winter months.

We really don't want to stop something that could be so beneficial to local families, but as a small independent business, we have to make difficult decisions to keep our doors open.

You know the old saying… USE IT OR LOSE IT! ❤️

TODAY'S POST — Every child is different

A LITTLE REMINDER FROM CHEEKY CHIMPS

Every child is different, and that's a beautiful thing!

Some children talk early, some take a little longer. Some are confident and outgoing, while others need more time to find their feet.
Some learn by watching, some by listening, and others by getting stuck in and exploring.

And you know what? That's OK! ❤️

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to growing up. Every little one has their own personality, their own strengths and their own journey.

Let's celebrate the little milestones, be patient with the bigger ones, and remember that comparison is never the answer.

Every child deserves to feel accepted, included and loved for exactly who they are.

At Cheeky Chimps, we believe childhood should be about having fun, making memories, building confidence and being yourself!

Let's celebrate what makes our little ones unique.

Feel free to share this reminder with a parent who might need to hear it today. ❤️

SEN SESSION REMINDER TONIGHT

Just a little reminder that our SEN session is tonight 5pm–7pm, dont forget we now have some scooter boards available.

We’ve absolutely loved seeing all your lovely little ones at our SEN sessions, and we’re so pleased with how well they’ve been received!

Please remember we are now on FORTNIGHTLY SEN sessions

As always, the session will be quieter, calmer and more relaxed, with no music or radio playing, giving our SEN children the opportunity to enjoy Cheeky Chimps in a more comfortable environment.
