Lots of activity at Top Jubilee Park this morning. They've even sent the Inspector to examine all the equipment to ensure it's safety. There has been so much damage caused recently by kids 12-14 yrs old - one even took bolt croppers to the fixings on the climbing frame - how could a child do this knowing another child could be seriously injured? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Absolutely mindless, selfish vandalism and criminal behaviour from kids so young.

Also, the dilemma of the gate continues. Again bolt croppers have been used, but the council are on it immediately. You may as well give up kids, you've all been rumbled and if you and your parents haven't had a police visit yet, then chances are you soon will be. Remember the park area, and Belmont Street are all covered by CCTV. They know who you are.

Remember I posted about the criminal damage and antisocial behaviour in top Jubilee Park? Since then there have been further criminal instances and a serious assault on a resident. As a result CCTV has been installed, and further methods are being considered. Please help the residents and respond to the survey below. Please also bear in mind that the Lindley Street entrance is only a few feet away and remains open.

We are pleased to announce that the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) consultation for Jubilee Park is now live.

The proposed PSPO aims to help ensure Jubilee Park remains a safe, welcoming and enjoyable space for everyone. Before any decision is made, we are seeking the views of residents, park users, local businesses and other interested stakeholders.

We encourage you to take part in the consultation and share your views by completing the online survey. Your feedback will help inform any future decisions regarding the proposed PSPO.

For more information and to participate in the consultation, please visit:
https://www.northlincs.gov.uk/your-council/current-consultations-and-surveys/
The consultation will remain open until 31st August 2026

We ensure that services meet the needs and expectations of the community by regularly engaging with you and consulting…

Do you want to see Doncaster Airport reopened? I know I do. Have your say on the consultation.

CCTV is now up and running in Top Jubilee Park.

The purpose is not to spy on you or your children, but as a safeguard so that if there is any criminal behaviour or damage, then footage can be viewed in order to identify individuals responsible. Since the camera has been installed, antisocial behaviour has all but disappeared.

Hopefully this will be rolled out to more parks in our areas. Playgrounds are for families. Playgrounds are for children. We are taking them back!

🚧 Roadworks Notice – Carriageway Resurfacing Works 🚧

North Lincolnshire Council will be carrying out carriageway resurfacing works in the Riddings and Bottesford areas from Monday 3 August through to Thursday 3 September 2026.

πŸ“ Works will take place on:
πŸ”Ή Enderby Road
πŸ”Ή Willoughby Road (between Enderby Road and Angerstein Road)
πŸ”Ή Searby Road (cul-de-sac)
πŸ”Ή Quebec Road (between Sunningdale Road and Low Leys)

The works have been carefully coordinated to minimise disruption and avoid conflicting road closures.

🚌 Some of the local bus services will also be affected. Passengers are advised to check with their bus operator before travelling, as journey times may be longer and some bus stops may be temporarily unavailable.

πŸͺ Local businesses will remain open as usual, although access may be restricted at certain times while works are underway.

πŸš— Please allow extra time for your journey and avoid the area where possible while these essential repairs are carried out.

Thank you for your patience while these improvements are carried out.

The swimming pool at Riddings Community Hub will close at the end of the day tomorrow (Friday 17 July) as part of the refurbishment programme. Timetables for swimming pools at other sites, including NL Active The Pods just a short distance away, can be found here πŸ‘‡

Please note that the building closure is being phased over six weeks, so it’s business as usual for the gym and group fitness classes for now. Customers using these facilities will be kept updated as refurbishment works progress.

Thank you for your support as we invest in a better Riddings Community Hub for the future.

Severn Trent have asked us to highlight some work they are doing which will cause disruption especially in the Queensway/East Common Lane until November 2026. This will most likely heavily impact on other local routes.

planned sewer improvement works taking place in the Queensway area
from June to November 2026.

These works form part of a wider investment to help improve water
quality in Bottesford Beck and strengthen the local drainage network.

Queensway Service Road -
We’ll be setting up a temporary site compound on the green space of land off Fowler Road. The
setup is planned between 13 and 17 July 2026.

From 20 July 2026 until November 2026, we’ll begin installing a new 600mm surface water
sewer, starting outside Number 6 Queensway Service Road and working towards East Common
Lane. A rolling road closure will be used in sections of approximately 100 metres as the work
progresses.

We’ll need to close the East Common Lane / Queensway A18 junction 15 August – 30 August
2026. To minimise disruption, Queensway will be temporarily reopened. Once work on the
junction is completed, we’ll close and resume work on Queensway Service Road.

Pedestrian access to properties will be maintained at all times
Vehicle access will be provided where possible, and we’ll work directly with residents if specific
access arrangements are needed

Bin Collection:
If your bin collection is affected during the works, please place your bins in a visible location. Our
team will ensure they are moved to an accessible location for collection and returned
afterwards.

There may be a temporary increase in noise during this work.
