☀️ Sun Safety Starts with You ☀️

A day at the beach is one of the best parts of summer, but it’s important to protect yourself from harmful UV rays.

Remember to:
🧴 Apply SPF 50 sun cream and reapply regularly.
🕶️ Wear UV-protective sunglasses.
👒 Wear a wide-brimmed hat where possible.
💧 Drink plenty of water.
🌳 Take regular breaks in the shade.

Even on cloudy days, you can still get sunburn, so don’t forget to protect yourself.

Join Seaford Lifeguards! 🛟
Whether you’re just starting out or ready to dive in — we’ve got a role for you!

👦 Ages 14+ — Become Lifeguard Support: help out, learn new skills, and get a taste of lifeguarding life.
💪 Ages 16+ — Train to be a Certified Lifeguard and help keep Seaford Beach safe.
👥 Ages 25–35 — Volunteer with our Adult Lifeguard Team and be part of something amazing!

Full training provided for everyone — all you need is enthusiasm and a love for the sea. 🌤️

It's a windy day & the red flags are up!

Seaford's bravest are out & about keeping everyone safe today; give them a wave!

The red flag indicates dangerous conditions such as rough seas or pollution. You should never swim when the red flag is flying. Always check in & speak to the Lifeguards.

Huge thanks to everyone who came down, if you're interested in joining & you couldn't make it today we will be back next Saturday for new members!

Our epic volunteers made the most of the bad weather this afternoon giving our boathouse some much needed TLC.

We don't just need lifeguards, we need handy people to help keep our facilities in top shape for everyone enjoying our amazing beach!
