Hello and welcome. This is my first post here!

I'm Lindsay Stirton, Mayor of Seaford 2026. I'll be using this space to share news from around the town, to mark the moments that matter to us, and to keep in touch with Seafordians wherever you happen to be.

And there's no better day to begin than today. Happy Sussex Day!

You wouldn't think Copacabana Beach had much to do with Seaford — but history says otherwise.

So from Rio de Janeiro to Seaford, a very happy Sussex Day. Wherever you are, I hope you find a reason to celebrate the county we're proud to call home. 💙

On 29 May, Seaford Mayor Lindsay Stirton attended and performed at a coffee morning at St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Eastbourne, helping entertain residents and guests while supporting the hospice's fundraising efforts.

In the video, the Mayor can be seen (mostly hidden from view!) performing with members of the Eastbourne Concert Orchestra. Together they played Por Una Cabeza, one of the world's most famous tango pieces, composed by Carlos Gardel.

A wonderful morning of music, community spirit, and support for a very worthwhile cause.
