***ACCESS TO MARSHLANDS CENTRE***

The emergency gas works have been completed. This certainly wasn’t on the town council’s bingo card for this week but thanks to the outstanding workmanship and professionalism of Uk Commercial Gas Ltd they have been completed in record time!

A huge thank you to Seaton Library, the Public Health Nursing team and the residents of Whitecliff Apartments for their patience, understanding and cooperation. This is a wonderful example of just how quickly things can get done when everyone pulls together 😊

The cones will remain in place until the end of the day until the tarmac is set. The Library will be open as usual tomorrow morning.

Can you help us share the books everyone wants to read this month? 📚

There’s high demand for our 10 most wanted titles, and many eager customers are waiting to borrow them. We’ve purchased as many copies as our budget allows, but if you’re able to help, we’d be truly grateful.

If you have a pristine copy, you’ve finished reading - whether it’s one you bought yourself or received as a gift - you can donate it at any library in Devon or Torbay. We’ll add it to our collection to help reduce the waiting list.

Thank you so much for your support! 💚

***MARSHLANDS CENTRE ACCESS UPDATE***

Seaton Town Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by today's library closure. Unfortunately the extent of the works is such that, access to Seaton Library could not be safely maintained.

Rest assured - the amazing team of engineers are working extremely hard to restore full access to Marshlands Centre as soon as they can. The Town Council will liaise with them and with Seaton Library first thing tomorrow morning and updates will be posted on this page and the Council's website as well as on A-boards in the car park. If you wish to return a library book, you can drop it into the Tourist Information Centre via the seafront entrance between 9am and 1pm.

Thank you for your patience and understanding - as you will appreciate, public safety has to be the top priority.
