Thank you to the Selby Times and The Big Communi-tea for kindly sponsoring the Selby in Bloom competitions again this year.

Selby Town Council, as part of its commitment to making Selby a greener and more pleasant place to live and work, will be displaying 40 hanging baskets and adding plants to numerous planters in the Town.

The Annual Town Meeting will be held on Wednesday 13th May at 6pm in the Town Hall. This year’s grants will also be awarded at the meeting.

Electors of Selby Town Parish are welcome to attend, and there will be an opportunity to ask the Town Clerk and Mayor questions.

This year we are inviting people to donate new and pre-loved toys for the Spirit of Christmas to help support the work that they do.

The Town Hall will be open from 5:15pm for refreshments and as a drop off point for donations.
