SUSTAINABLE BORDERS is holding two WARM HOMES, LOWER BILLS Energy Drop-In events in Hawick and Selkirk to mark Challenge Poverty Week (5-11 October) on Tuesday 6 October 2026 9.30am–2pm for a day of free, friendly and impartial home energy advice.

Come along and speak to one of their Energy Advisors about:
Energy bills, tariffs, debt and supplier problems, free home energy visits, free Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), heating and energy efficiency, smart meters, Priority Services Register, Carbon monoxide safety, Fuel vouchers and other available support, referrals to other services where additional help is needed.

You can also bring your energy bill with you, to look at it together.

This October, Borders Housing Network (BHN) is standing together to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Throughout this month, we’ll be sharing important posts that will highlight different forms of abuse, provide information on vital support services and share advice on how to protect yourself.
Domestic Abuse can happen to anyone but together, we can break the silence and support those affected. 💪
