Shanklin Chine The Island's most historic attraction. First opening as a visitor attraction in 1817, Shanklin Chine is at the forefront of many childhood memories. Thankyou.

Opening Times for 2026:

10am – 10pm from 26th March to 31st August - with last entry 9.30pm.

10am – 9pm from 1st September to 1st November - with last entry 8.30pm. Please note Last Exit from the Top Entrance known as the Old Village Entrance is 15 minutes before the Chine closes. After this time, t

here is no access out of Shanklin Chine via the Top Entrance. The exit is via the Bottom Entrance as known as Esplanade/ Accessibility/Family Entrance. Visitors purchasing tickets for Shanklin Chine, will automatically receive 7 days of free re-entry. That’s totally unlimited returns within the 7 days following your first day’s visit! There's only a few days left of the summer holidays! ☀️

Another summer has absolutely flown by, but it's been fantastic to see so many people enjoying the beauty of the Chine over the past few weeks.

There's still time to bring the kids along, explore the trails, hunt high and low for our dino friends, and treat yourself to a little something to eat and drink at the Chine Café or Fisherman's Cottage. 🦖🥤

One last summer adventure before the school bells ring again!
