National Offer Day 2026! 📚✏️📕

I would like to wish all families across the Isle of Sheppey receiving their children’s school offers today the very best of luck. This can be both an exciting and nerve wracking time for parents.

As you will all be aware, for the past few years, the Isle of Sheppey has had an allocation crisis due to over development and limited spaces. With this I mind, I hope everything goes well.

If you are either unhappy with your child’s place or seek further support or advice on travel options and arrangements, please do kindly drop me an email at [email protected].

Best wishes, Maxwell Harrison 🩵

Sheppey Highways and Transport Event! 🚙🚧

Last week, I was delighted to hold Sheppey’s inaugural KCC Highways and Transport Conference for town and parish councillors to meet our Cabinet and Deputy Cabinet Member.

Over the course of the last few weeks, I have been collating your emails and messages about the state of our local infrastructure and I can confirm these issues were raised on the night.

Councillors and clerks from across Sheppey came along and put forward many sensible recommendations and I am delighted to say that KCC is already investigating all of these matters.

I would like to thank everyone who made this a productive and positive evening, as well as Cllr Spencer Dixon and Cllr Peter Osborne for giving up so much of their time to hear our concerns.

This proves if you vote reform, you get Reform! I look forward to giving residents an update on these works in the coming weeks and months ahead. Reform UK - putting Sheppey first! 🩵

Let’s make history in Gorton and Denton!🙌🏻🩵

These past few days, I had the great pleasure of canvassing with hundreds of other Reform UK volunteers and KCC councillors on the streets of Gorton and Denton to help Matt Goodwin win.

Make no mistake, this is a two horse race between Reform UK and the Green Party. Labour’s vote share is going to get annihilated, whilst the Tories are going to lose their deposit.

We cannot allow the far left, who want to legalise crack co***ne and he**in, beat Matt this Thursday. Whilst the Greens will prioritise asylum seekers, only Reform UK will put veterans first.

If you can get help, please do travel up there and help us beat Labour in their 6th safest seat! This is a referendum on Starmer and I look forward to playing my part this Thursday on Polling Day!🩵

Let’s get Sheppey’s roads working again! 🙌🏻🩵

I’m delighted to confirm that tonight, the Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, Peter Osborne, and his Deputy, Cllr Spencer Dixon, will be coming to Sheppey.

It’s clear our road network and quality, as well as public transport, is not up to scratch. That is why we have invited all Town and Parish Councillors to meet with us to discuss your recent concerns.

Since May 2025, Reform UK at KCC has been making headways in highways and transport. However, much more must be done on Sheppey, which for far too long has been left behind.

I look forward to welcoming all town and parish councillors tonight. If you are a resident and wish for a matter to be raised, please do drop me an email at [email protected].

If you haven’t yet received a response, please don’t worry. I have been collating your emails and they will be given to the Cabinet Member tonight. Here’s hoping for a success night! 🩵

My recent speech on KCC’s Budget 👀‼️🚨

Last Thursday, I was truly honoured to speak in the Council Chamber on behalf of residents on the Isle of Sheppey in support of Reform UK’s Budget for Kent County Council; which delivers the lowest rise in council tax for 13 years.

Every single opposition member, including Conservatives, Liberal Democrat’s, Greens, Labour, and Independents voted for higher taxes and argued against Reform’s Budget; even though it does not cut vital services.

Whilst the Tories ran KCC into the ground, we have already made £82 million in real savings and started lessening the burden on local people. That is why you voted for Reform UK in such overwhelming numbers in May 2025!

Below is my speech during the General Debate. It’s safe to say, the opposition don’t like it when I stand up! 😉 But, guess what? I will never back down or apologise for standing up for common sense or putting local people first! ➡️🩵

Common sense and democracy has prevailed!🩵

Today, it has been announced that the Labour Government has u-turned once again and that the elections they cancelled will go ahead. This is a huge win for 4.5 million who lost their vote!

The decision to cancel elections in 30 councils, by Lib Dem’s, Labour and Conservatives (in name only) was nothing short of a treasonous and undemocractic act by the political elite.

However, due to Reform UK’s Judicial review on these cancellations, the Government has agreed they had no legal basis to cancel the elections and that they will be going ahead as planned.

This proves, if you vote Reform, you get Reform!

We are the real opposition in the country and only we can beat Starmer at the next General Election! Let me know your thoughts on this u-turn! Do you agree, it’s curtains for Keir now? 🩵

Should Keir Starmer resign over Mandelson?👀

Yesterday, the Prime Minister had to admit in the House of Commons that he was aware of the disturbingly close relationship Lord Mandelson had with the tycoon pa******le, Jeffrey Epstein.

Starmer promised he’d bring “change” to our country. Well it’s clear, the only thing he has achieved is becoming the most unpopular Prime Minister in modern British political history.

With him at the helm, Britain is a laughing stock on the world’s stage, as we remain engulfed in the greatest national scandal since Profumo. We deserve so much better than this utter mess!

There is no doubt about, Keir Starmer must now resign as Prime Minister. The country does not have confidence in him in this role, and no amount of lies can possibly save his term now.

Do let me know your thoughts in the comment section below - is it time for Keir to resign?🩵

The Labour Party are not your friends, Sheppey.

Despite valiant efforts from some Sheppey Swale Borough Councillors, Swale has resolved to impose parking charges at a variety of sites across the island. This is beyond despicable.

The underpinning principles of democracy says that elected representatives are the servants, whilst the electorate are our masters. However, according to Labour, that simple means nothing.

Labour have led the administration of Swale Borough Council into the ground, and now they want to use more of your money to fill in the financial mess they have single handily caused.

Reform UK opposed these measures, as did many other decent local councillors. To them, I am thankful. But, doesn’t this just prove that Labour talks the talk, but can’t walk the walk!

Let me know yours thoughts in the comment section believe. I think this is a disastrous decision that will wreck our local economy and worsen the decline caused by our government.

What do you think? 👀🩵

28/01/2026

When you vote Reform, you get Reform! 🩵

After 28 years of total and utter ineptitude and failure by the Kent “Conservatives in Name Only” who unforgivably ran Kent County Council into the ground, Reform UK has come along and in under a year, it has already begun making a real difference for the people of the Isle of Sheppey and Kent.

Despite the Labour Party, Conservatives, Liberal Democrat’s, and Green Party advocating for your council tax to rise by the full 4.99%, Reform UK have reduced KCC’s debt by over £60 million and made £82 million in real savings. This means we will only be increasing the rate of tax to 3.99%.

Is it any wonder Keir Starmer is cancelling elections for over 5 million people in May? Whilst the Labour Party continue their attack and assault on ‘Alarm Clock Britain’ and working people, Reform UK is doing all it can to reduce the financial burden being imposed by Labour to residents in Kent.

Mark my words, we are just getting started at Kent County Council and only Reform UK will put the British people first and stand up for family, community, and country! 🩵

Let me know in the comment section below…is Starmer cancelling elections because he’s scared of Reform UK’s local success? 👀

On this important day, we reflect and pray for those who lost their lives at the hands of N**i regime during the Holocaust (1941-1945).

In total, 6 million Jews were murdered, as well as over 5 million people, killed on the grounds of their nationality, sexual preference, or disability.

This atrocity was committed by the darkest and most despicable ideology the world has ever seen, and cannot be allowed to happen again.

In particular, my thoughts extend to Jewish families and believers across the Isle of Sheppey and Kent who lost relatives in the Holocaust. 🕯️

Sittingbourne and Sheppey deserves better!🙌🏻

At Kent County Council today, the Leader of KCC held a meeting where all 18 Kent Members of Parliament were invited to speak with our Cabinet Members about our future plans and proposals, while also giving MPs the opportunity to share what local people want to see changed in their communities.

Disappointingly, our Member of Parliament, Kevin McKenna, chose not to attend in person, or contribute directly to the discussion. That is a real missed opportunity.

Being a Member of Parliament is more than a title, it is a duty. People expect their MP to show up, listen, and engage, especially when they are given weeks of notice. Kent residents deserve representation that is visible, active, and focused on delivering results, not just commenting from the sidelines.

For too long, both the Conservatives and Labour have shown they cannot be relied on to put Kent first. That is why so many people turned away from them in May 2025, and why the direction of travel is clear nationally too.

Reform UK will keep doing the hard work to reverse the damage done by both parties at local and national level. We will keep turning up, pushing for change, and fighting for the communities we represent. We are only just getting started. 🙌🏻🩵
