Very happy to have made a Hammer-beam Truss. A complex, very satisfying and curvy way to span a space that has been used throughout the history of timber framing for some very impressive structures. Our tiny 5m span was an interesting challenge and test of our skills but it pales in comparison with some of those from the past. Particularly the magnificent hammer-beam roof of Westminster Hall which is the largest medieval timber roof in Northern Europe....

Moon Portal entranceways and a longer tunnel for a children's hospice garden in Staffordshire. Made from glue laminated Oak hoops with coloured perspex and galvanised steel base supports. Delivered along with five curved benches. Hopefully we will be able to add some pictures of everything installed into the finished garden, and also be involved in the next, woodland stage of the project.

This Project is one of a number around the country designed and managed by the Royal Horticulture Society aimed at bring nature and a daytime sanctuary for staff into heart of busy hospital sites. We designed, made and installed the timber frame green-roofed shelter as the centerpiece to the garden. More photos to come of the completed scheme. UK FSC Douglas Fir timber frame, traditionally jointed and draw dowelled. Wildflower greenroof and drain chains.

We recently displayed some of our current projects at the Grand Designs Live show in London. These included our Habitat Letters and Curved Benches Habitat Clusters and Hammerbeam Truss and Moon Gates.... We met lots of folk with interesting plans and ideas for their homes, gardens and schools and had some great chats. Our eye catching and very unique stand got lots of attention and there was a deep appreciation for the natural, sustainable materials, the warm feel of wood and the connection to nature.
