Sheffield City Council - Allocations Policy Review

Sheffield City Council - Allocations Policy Review Hello! Welcome to our page! We will be updating this regularly to keep you updated with how the review and consultation is going.

Sheffield City Council’s Lettings Policy was last fully reviewed in 2002, a lot has changed since then. For example there is more demand for council housing but less housing available. There have also been a lot of changes to the law and related guidance. As a result in March 2010 Cabinet decided that it was time to look again at how we allocate council housing in Sheffield. We want to make the sy

stem of letting council properties simpler and fairer for people living in Sheffield. By reviewing the current system we want to find a way of allocating housing that better meets the needs of people in Sheffield, making sure the people that really need housing are able to access it at the right time.
