This Volunteers’ Week, we’re highlighting some of the wonderful people who give their time to help improve the lives of our service users.

Staff in the Sheffield Community Brain Injury Rehabilitation Team (SCIBRT) have done a fantastic job recruiting volunteers from among their service users and carers. They have over 15 volunteers, providing peer support, supporting service user interview panels and supporting groups like fatigue group, sleep group, and family and friends group.

Thank you to our partners at Sheffield Flourish for supporting our work with volunteers 💙

If you’re a current service user, or have previously accessed our services, and think you’d like to support future service users, visit our website to learn more: https://www.sheffieldpartnership.nhs.uk/get-involved/volunteering

It’s Volunteers’ Week! ✨

We've teamed up with Sheffield Flourish to support volunteers on their journey with us, enabling them to use their incredible skills to help better the lives of our service users.

Kemi is one of our amazing volunteers. She brings her skills as a dance instructor to offer a monthly dance fitness class tailored to service users on wards at Michael Carlisle Centre.

Thank you, Kemi, for the energy and creativity you bring every day! 💙

We’re looking for more people to run or support activities, particularly in fitness. If you have skills you’d like to share, find out more on our website: https://www.sheffieldpartnership.nhs.uk/get-involved/volunteering

Last week, our Care Opinion team, Zoe and Craig, visited the Care Opinion HQ at Kelham Island to build on our partnership and explore how we can continue making it easier for people to share their stories.

Zoe and Craig were joined by colleagues from Care Opinion, including Emma Noonan, to discuss new ideas for the future. They talked about looking forward to welcoming volunteers to help us gather feedback across our services.

The team also looked at ways of making Care Opinion more accessible, ensuring all service users can share their experiences.

We’re also continuing to strengthen our co-production approach, working closely with Care Opinion to respond to feedback, support teams, and keep improving how we listen and learn.

If you’ve used our services and want to share your experience, you can do so via Care Opinion here: https://www.careopinion.org.uk/services/tah
