🚮 Thanks to our litter picking volunteers for another productive litter pick in the woods and green spaces around Herdings Community Centre.

If you would like to help, we meet at Herdings Community Centre at 1pm on the last Tuesday of the month. Gloves, bags, litter picks all provided.

We're delighted to share that Heeley Trust - Newfield Green Library located in Gleadless and run by a fantastic team of volunteer librarians, have signed up to our Breastfeeding Friendly Award for Public Spaces! https://www.facebook.com/HeeleyTrust

By signing up to the award, Heeley Trust - Newfield Green Library is showing its commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for breastfeeding families in the local community.

Libraries are fantastic places for families to connect, learn and spend time together, and it's wonderful to know that parents can feel comfortable feeding their baby while enjoying everything the library has to offer.

A huge thank you to the team at Heeley Trust - Newfield Green Library for helping to make Sheffield an even more breastfeeding-friendly city.

It’s been a hot couple of weeks at the Herdings Community Garden. Thanks to the amazing efforts of our volunteers, we have just about managed to keep all the plants alive. Some plants have struggled but the sunflowers are loving it 😊 We've harvested sweetcorn, courgettes, tomatoes, chillies, aubergines, spinach, apples, blackberries and potatoes.

If you would like to get involved, we have sessions on Tuesdays and Thursday 9:00-12:00 at Herdings Community Centre, Morland Road, S14 1TD

NEW CLASS ALERT!
Titans boxing will be running GVTARA's new after school class starting on Tuesday 8th September at Terry Wright Community Centre from 5.30-6.30pm. This is aimed at children 10-15years old and will cost only £1. Parents will need to attend with their children for their first class to sort registration/permission forms. Please be aware, you must live in Gleadless Valley to be able to attend these classes. We can't wait to work with Titans Boxing
