☕️ A little shout-out to Smith & Broom at the old Perfectionery…
We’ve got a new deli on our road, and I’d really encourage everyone to pop down and give Smith & Broom a try.
I tried their coffee today — and as anyone who knows me will tell you, I love my coffee. 😄
There was something really special about this one. The first thing that caught me was the aroma — almost like a wild rainforest after the rain, deep, earthy and wonderfully fragrant.
Then came the first sip. The flavours seem to evaporate across your tongue, rather than sitting heavily there. There’s a lovely depth to it, with a gentle kick that wakes you up without shouting at you. Balanced, calm and subtle, but still enough character to remind you that you’re drinking a proper coffee.
What surprised me most was the finish. Looking at the colour, you might expect a darker roast to leave that lingering, slightly bitter aftertaste — but it doesn’t. It disappears beautifully and leaves you wanting another sip rather than reaching for water.
Really enjoyable coffee, and a lovely new addition to the road. 🌿☕️
So if you’re passing, pop into Smith & Bloom at the old Perfectionery, give them a try, support a new local business — and, of course, tell me what you think of the coffee!
Welcome to the road, Smith & Bloom. 👏
