This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in frontline emergency care with one of the UK’s leading independent ambulance services. As an Apprentice ECA, you’ll receive high-quality training, hands-on experience, and the chance to make a real difference in your community.

All successful applicants will embark on a 13-month apprenticeship programme and will receive the FutureQuals Level 3 Certificate in Ambulance Patient Care: Urgent Care Services and the FutureQuals Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving as part of this new and exciting Apprenticeship pathway, right here at Echo Fire and Medical.

Echo Fire and Medical Ltd is expanding and we’re looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Head of Education and Clinical Development to lead our growing Education Department and develop our operational clinical services.

This hands-on role combines leadership, clinical education delivery, and meticulous administrative oversight. You’ll manage apprenticeship data, ensure fully auditable training processes, maintain compliance with awarding bodies, and build strong external partnerships. The role also includes delivering hands on education and completing periodic clinical shifts to maintain operational credibility.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead, manage and grow the Education Department
• Maintain accurate, compliant and auditable administration across all training activity
• Oversee and carry out curriculum development, quality assurance & regulatory compliance
• Manage apprenticeship data
• Liaise with awarding organisations and partner agencies
• Review and update training materials and delivery methods
• Deliver clinical education sessions and maintain operational shifts
• Lead, mentor and support our educator team

We’re looking for:
• Experienced individual with exceptional knowledge of the pre-hospital setting
• Strong clinical education background
• Excellent administration, organisation and attention to detail
• Understanding of awarding bodies, IQA and apprenticeship processes
• Confident communicator and relationship-builder
