Heart of Knitting

Heart of Knitting Starting with just a couple of friends sat around a kitchen table, the project has grown to have 31 regular knitters making over 12000 hats!

Regular knitting groups across Rotherham and Sheffield with the aim of providing a space to meet new friends and learn new skills, all while producing knitted items for new-borns and the homeless. Heart of Knitting (formally Hats 4 Charity) was founded in 2017 with the aim of producing much needed woollen hats for new-born babies at Sheffield’s Jessops Hospital. Following the pandemic, the group i

s expanding further with knitting groups to be facilitated across the region, hoping to provide a space for people to meet friends and learn a new skill - all while creating tiny hats for new-borns in need. Keep an eye on our Facebook for updates about new groups starting up soon.
