Hi Folks,

First of all a huge thank you for all the cards, flowers, chocolate, wine, biscuits and delicious home made cakes, we were truly humbled at the amount of people that came in to say goodbye!

We have had a quick trip to Spain for a well deserved rest and we are now looking forward to moving into our new house.

Hi folks!

We would just like to thank each and every one of you who has supported us over the last 13 years at Handsworth Post Office.

We have certainly seen some changes, when we took over the post office in 2013, we were serving about 1300 customers a week, we now average over 2000 a week!

We have enjoyed serving our community and we were especially proud to stay open all through Covid thanks to our amazing staff.

We have taken the decision to sell both the Post Office and our house and move to The Peak District to enjoy semi-retirement!

Unfortunately this means that we will be closed all day on Monday 17th August and reopen at 1pm on Tuesday 18th August while we hand over to the new couple who have bought the business.

We hope that you will support them as you have supported us. Our staff Jo, Joanne and Jenny will all be staying on.

Thanks all again, hope to bump into some of you when we visit Handsworth in the future!
We will both be working on Saturday morning if anyone wants to say goodbye.
