A reminder that Sheffield Manor Lodge will be open to the public this Sunday!

In celebration of , we will be doing nature-themed crafts in the Discovery Centre, plus a nature-themed trail in the grounds ๐Ÿ”Ž๐ŸŒผ

We will also be running history tours of the site at 10:30am and 1:30pm. There are limited spaces available, so please book in advance if you would like to join one of the tours: https://bit.ly/4uOaIfg

Announcement! - We are still open today but we are having a bit of trouble with our bows and swords under the rain!!! If you are/have visited today (3/5) we have made the decision to honour today's tickets for tomorrow's event (4/5). We are expecting the skies to improve on Monday. There is still plenty to see and do today including historic music, living encampment, medieval activities and more if you would like to join us as planned. See you soon!!!

Weโ€™re looking forward to seeing everyone at Medieval Mayhem this bank holiday weekend! โš”๏ธ

Weโ€™re running the event in collaboration with The Ferrers Household, who are a talented fifteenth century reenactment society portraying the knights, squires and highly skilled craftspeople under the command of Sir Walter Devereux โ€“ a loyal supporter of Richard of York during the Wars of the Roses.

There will be limited tickets available on the day, so we strongly recommend booking in advance if you havenโ€™t already!

A reminder that our first Monday Night Talk of the year is taking place next week on 13 April (7pmโ€“9pm).

In this talk, Dr Amy Saunders will explore how 16th and 17th century royal women are reimagined in film, television and media.

The talk will discuss a range of European consort and regnant queens, and examine themes such as motherhood, gender, religion and conflict.

Join us on Sunday 5 April at Manor Oaks House and Sheffield Manor Lodge for a special Easter-themed trail and fun craft activities!

What to expect on the day:

1. When you arrive, please check in at Manor Oaks House and collect your Easter trail activity sheet and map ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ

2. Before you go on the trail, you will have the option to complete two crafts at Manor Oaks House (paper chick mask and cute woolly lamb) ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ‘

3. Head out on the trail, which will lead you up to the Discovery Centre at Sheffield Manor Lodge ๐Ÿ”Ž

4. When you reach the Discovery Centre, you will be able to collect your reward and complete the final craft (Easter bunny bag) ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿ›๏ธ
