Shefford Remembrance Day Service - Sunday 8th November

Service at 10.50am at the War Memorial
The Local Forces parade will proceed down the High Street to the War Memorial, followed by the laying of the wreaths and lamp lights of peace.

Armistice Day Service - Wednesday 11th November 2026
Commencing at 10.50am in the High Street
This will be a gathering at the War

If younger children are taking part in the parade, please make sure they come dressed in warm, waterproof clothing. They’ll have an opportunity to take off extra layers during the service if they wish, but we’d much rather they have extra layers to take off than risk getting too cold! Our Marshalls will also be keeping an eye out for anyone who is getting cold. ❤️

Wanderbus, the local community bus service, really needs extra volunteer drivers! Could you volunteer one or two mornings a month and help maintain services to the residents of the villages around Shefford & Stotfold who rely totally on their bus services to get out and about?

What do you need to volunteer?
1. The D1 classification on your driving license.
2. A spare one or two weekday mornings a month.
3. A desire to help your local community.

What is provided?
1. Full training on 16-seater buses.
2. As many trips with regular drivers as you want, until you feel comfortable driving with passengers.
3. Support from a regular driver until you are happy to ‘go solo’.

Please get in touch if you would like to help/find out more.
