In need of a costume for World Book Day? Parents, we are here to help!

We think World Book Day should be all about enjoying books with your kids and not spent panicking that you've not got a costume sorted! Many of our libraries are hosting costume swaps this year. Simply drop off any old costumes that your kids have grown out of, and hopefully you'll find a bigger one to take away.

- You don't need to leave an old costume to take a new one.
- Please only leave clean costumes that are in good condition and that you'd be happy for your kid to wear
- Don't forget to borrow a book that matches the costume whilst you're here!

We are very pleased to welcome the Candle for Holocaust Memorial and Peace to Shepton Library this week as it continues its journey throughout Somerset in commemoration of Holocaust Day on January 27th. The many coloured flowers crafted for the display represent various groups of people throughout the world who have been persecuted and murdered for their faiths, beliefs, politics or simply for being who they are.
