Shepton Mallet Firefighters will be attending Collett Park Day tomorrow Saturday 13th June 2026

Come and see our fire appliance and chat to the crew.

We'll be located near the main entrance gate in case we have to respond to an incident.

Monday night drill this week was Shepton Mallet firefighters annual fitness test.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue take crew health and welfare seriously and all personnel in the service are required pass this test every year for their safety and to remain operational.

Assessments can include the bleep test / shuttle run, treadmill tests or the fireground fitness test.

Similar tests are carried out in the application process to be a paid on-call firefighter.
