FAQ's about our Dog Swims! 🐕💦
When can I book?
From Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th August 2026 7am
How do I book?
You will need a Freedom Leisure account to book, if you haven’t already, you can register for a Pay As You Go Account here: https://flsomerset.gladstonego.cloud/site-finder
Once logged in, sessions will be available to book on our website from Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August 2026 7am or on our ‘Freedom Leisure' mobile app from 7 days in advance of the event.
How much does it cost?
As single ticket costs £14 which includes a 1.5hr slot for 1 dog & 1 Adult owner. Any additional adults must be booked on using the £4 spectator fee option.
Can I bring my kids?
No under 16s on site during the dog swims.
Can I get in the water with my dog?
Yes of course! However please remember it is a ratio of 1 dog : 1 human so only 1 adult in the water at a time.
What temperature is the water?
Our boilers will remain on, heating the pool, so you can expect a temperature of around 25 degrees depending on the weather.
What facilities do you have on site?
- 25m swimming pool
- Adjacent shallow small pool
- Splash pad
- Picnic bench area with grass
- Changing rooms with showers and toilets
- Lockers free of charge
- Small tuck shop for drinks and snacks
- Carpark
Can dogs go in chlorinated water?
Chlorine levels are reduced to a safe level for the dog swims. We will also have a hose to rinse your dog afterwards if you wish.
Do I have to keep my dog on a lead?
No, once the session has started, we will close all doors allowing dogs freedom to run wherever.
Can my dog wear a life jacket?
Yes! But this isn’t mandatory and we don’t have any on site to borrow.
What time can I arrive?
Please only arrive at the time of your session or up to 10mins before!
How do dogs get in and out of the water?
Dogs may jump or slide if they fancy! We also have some temporary steps which we will put into the water.
How many dogs are in a session?
Each session can take up to 50 dogs so bear this in mind if you have a more reactive dog who may misbehave in such an environment.
