FREE Crafts Day! As we wrap up the summer holidays and the kiddos get ready to go back to school, we are having our last FREE crafts day!

This Friday, come along and get creative with Junk Models! Let your imagination run wild and see what you can create from all sorts of everyday bits and pieces.

While the little ones are busy creating, grown-ups can have a browse around the market and check out all our fantastic traders!

🎶 Sing for SWEDA this Christmas! 🎄Are you part of a choir, singing group, music group or just love to perform? Why not Sing for SWEDA and help raise vital funds for people affected by eating disorders?

SWEDA is calling on singers, choirs, performers, schools, workplaces, pubs and cafés across the South West to get involved in the run-up to Christmas.

You could organise a concert, singalong, karaoke night, carol singing session or simply get together and make some music while raising money for a great cause.

Skate Jam 2026 is this Saturday! Join us at West Shepton Skate Park for a day of workshops and competitions!

5th September 10:00 – 16:00

Help us spread the word and bring along your friends and family. Denelas Bakery will be serving hot dogs, burgers, chips and chicken nuggets, while Olly Lolly’s Ice Cream Van will be there all day with delicious ice creams and treats.

This is Rubicon will be on hand to coach you on all you need to know about skating, scootering or BMXing. There will be demonstrations and competitions with prizes.

All ages and abilities welcome:

10:00 – 11:00: Complete beginners/very young skateboard and scooter lessons.

11:00 – 12:00: Skateboard and scooter lessons for all with demos

12:30 – 16:00: Competitions, with under 13 and over 13 categories in Scooter, Skateboard and BMX!

🌺 A Little Splash of Colour for Shepton Mallet! Anyone coming into town along Charlton Road will know the old red telephone box that has been transformed into a little garden, filled with greenery, grasses and flowers that bring a bit of colour whatever the season.

What you might not know is that local resident Mary Barnes has been quietly looking after it for the past couple of years, watering can in hand. And with the recent droughts and heatwaves, keeping everything looking this good has taken some real dedication!

It’s a small act of kindness, repeated time and time again, that makes a big difference. A little unexpected colour and joy on an everyday journey, and a lovely reminder of what one person’s care can bring to the community.

The Full Town Council Meeting, will be on Tuesday, 1st of September at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome, and our meetings are fully hybrid, meaning you can join online or in person and still participate fully. They are also streamed live on our YouTube channel.

Circus fun is still coming to Shepton tomorrow!

While ’s Circus in the Park has sadly been cancelled, you can still find plenty of circus-themed fun with KIDZFUN in Regal Way as part of Shepton Sunday Market.

Come and join us for free family fun alongside the market, live music, great food and all our brilliant independent traders.

🎪 CIRCUS IN THE PARK – POSTPONED 🎪

Unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of rain we’ve had overnight and this morning, the ground at the park is now far too wet to safely continue with the event.

With more rain expected throughout the rest of the day and tomorrow, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to postpone today’s Circus in the Park.

We know many of you were looking forward to it, and we’re really sorry for the disappointment. However, the safety of everyone attending, as well as protecting the park grounds, has to come first.

We are working on a new date and will announce it as soon as it is confirmed.

Thank you for your understanding, we hope to see you all soon!
