We are looking for a volunteer to help lead our bereavement group at Sheringham Library every Tuesday 1-2pm.

Bereavement is something that can affect a person at any stage of their life. Norfolk Library and Information Service have set up a series of regular ‘Bereavement cafes’ which will create a space for people who have been bereaved to come together.

The focus is not on offering bereavement counselling as there are many excellent services which already offer in-depth support. The aim of a bereavement café is to provide a friendly space where customers can sit and talk and find new connections with others; who they know will have also experienced the death of someone close to them. There is no right or wrong topic of conversation. People may choose to talk about the weather, gardening or what they have been reading. If they wish to talk more openly about the person they are missing, that is also fine.

The role of the volunteer will be to welcome people to the space and make them feel comfortable.

Come and draw or paint your favourite Pokémon character on your own rock.

When? Wednesday 27th May 3.45pm until 4.45pm.
Where? Sheringham Library!

Booking is essential as we have a limited supply of Pokémon cards and sticker storybooks to give away.

We’re great admirers of lovely book covers and this book is no exception.

'Consider the anchovy' is all about 'a journey in pursuit of the little fish with the big flavour'. Love them or hate them, the author Sudi Pigott is celebrating the anchovy.

Heston Blumenthal OBE describes it as 'A gloriously geeky, deeply researched and hugely entertaining journey that gives this small fish the epic treatment it deserves'.

It's the small things that matter.

Reminiscence Kits can be used to assist communication with people who may find it difficult to find words to express their meaning, especially where a stroke or one of the dementias has affected speech and/or understanding.

Come and join us to draw or paint your favourite Pokemon Character on a pebble
We will also have a limited supply of free Pokemon Cards, Sticker-Storybooks and colouring sheets to give away, as well as books you can borrow too.
