Fly-tipping damages our environment, affects local communities and can create serious health and safety hazards. Shropshire Council is working with partners, local communities and businesses to prevent illegal dumping and take action against those responsible. If you see fly-tipping, please report it so it can be investigated and removed. Together, we can help keep Shropshire clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. ♻️🌳

Do you have a question, concern or local issue that you’d like to speak to a Town Councillor about?

Our Councillor Surgery is your opportunity to meet with a councillor in person, have a chat and raise anything that matters to you and your community. 💬

The surgeries will take place on the dates shown in the poster, from September 2026 through to May 2027.

Shifnal Town Council is giving public notice that a **casual vacancy has occurred for a Councillor for South Ward**, following the vacation of office by Councillor David Jappy on **1st September 2026**.

Under Rule 5(5) and 5(6) of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and Wales) Rules 2006, **10 electors for the parish ward** may request that an election is held to fill the vacancy.

📅 Any request must be made within **14 days** of the date of this notice. The 14-day period ends on **21st September 2026**.
