During the summer term we have had visits of some very interested children from Shifnal County Primary School learning about the ancestry of the people of Shifnal, possibly for some of the children we could have been talking about their great grandparents, granny & grandads, etc on how work was done in the local factories, working on the land, clock makers the list goes on, the children were very interested and asked loads of questions, the highlight of the visit for the children was all to have a go at ringing the fire bell, very load but rewarding to see the smiles on the children’s faces, volunteers and staff from S C P S covering their ears.
Do pop along to the Shifnal Local History Museum you will find us in the old fire station Shrewsbury Road on Fridays 2pm - 4pm, Saturdays 10am - 12noon, you will find the displays and the history of Shifnal very interesting, we look forward to answering any questions you might have it would be lovely to see you

Roll up, roll up, do you need to increase awareness of your local business ???

At Visit Shifnal, we’re here to support local businesses who want to raise their profile, build their following, and strengthen their community connections.

Rich and Jo work hard to champion as many local businesses as possible. Having lived in Shifnal for most of their lives, they have deep roots in the town and a real passion for its community.

Jo grew up with her parents actively involved in the Shifnal Carnival Committee, and both Rich and Jo have run their own businesses in Shifnal for many years. They truly understand the challenges of being a business owner.

As Jo says:

“We know how hard it is to manage the day-to-day of running a business while also trying to keep on top of social media, marketing, and everything else that comes with it. That’s why we created Visit Shifnal — to help take some of that pressure off and support your growth.”

We now consistently reach over 1.3 million views per month across social media, and your business can be part of that reach.

If you’d like to get involved and join this fantastic local business community, get in touch today by emailing Jo at:

We’d love to work with you!
