Wristbands are limited to 6 per family and must be collected by an adult. Please make sure everyone attending brings and wears their wristband on the night, as anyone without one will be refused entry. Adults and children all require a wristband for this event.

This event is open to Shildon residents only.

Children over the age of 3 years will require a wristband.

Did you know that September is Catch the Bus Month?

🚌Catch the Bus Month is a national campaign that celebrates the contribution buses make to the economy, as well as reducing congestion.

In County Durham, residents and visitors can benefit from a range of discount fares, subsidised by the North East Combined Authority, of which the council is a partner.

These include the £6 Durham Day Rover ticket, which allows people to hop on and off bus services run by any operator in the county on the same day. Young people aged 21 and under can take advantage of Get Round for £1 single fares, as well as £3 day tickets, which allow unlimited travel across the region on a single day.

All single fare for all bus users are capped at £2.50.

Many attractions in the region also offer discounts to visitors who travel by public transport as part of the Car Free Days Out scheme.

We're in need of donations for baby clothes to support our upcoming baby bank this month! 💕
Specifically, Girls aged 0-18 months and boys aged 12-18 months.

If you have some items that need recycling please drop them off at the Town Council Offices!

A warm welcome and a huge cheer was awaiting the amazing Chris Kelk who has spent two days cycling from Skegness to Shildon (a gruelling 180 miles!) to help raise vital funds to get Maxton, a local Shildon boy the equipment he so desperately needs.
