⚠️ IMPORTANT SCHOOL UPDATE ⚠️

Due to the extreme temperatures and the Met Office Red Weather Warning, the school will close early at 12:00pm on Thursday 25th June 2026.

✅ Normal lessons for Periods 1–3 will go ahead as scheduled.

🚌 Students who need to remain in school until their usual bus transport home will be accommodated. We kindly ask parents/carers to complete the form sent this afternoon to let us know if this arrangement is required.

📄 Please refer to the letter sent this afternoon for full details regarding the early closure arrangements and transport provision.

We're currently taking part in a trial and would love to see as many students as possible making the most of this fantastic reading platform. Regular reading helps to build vocabulary, improve comprehension, and develop confidence in English.

Did you know that eligible children and young people can access FREE holiday activities and healthy meals during the summer holidays through the Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) programme?

🍎 Healthy meals provided
🤝 Opportunities to make friends and learn new skills

Who is eligible?
✅ Children and young people in Reception to Year 11
✅ Receiving benefits-related Free School Meals

Each eligible young person can access up to 16 sessions during the summer holidays. There are also SEND-specific activities available.

📅 Activities begin from 20 July

📚 A fantastic start to our Young Librarians Scheme! 📚

Last week, Mrs Hendriksen took six Shipston High pupils to Shipston Library to take part in the first session of our new monthly Young Librarians Scheme.

Students got creative by designing their own librarian lanyards, enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the library, learnt how to use the librarian software, and even began planning their very own book club! 📖✨

A brilliant opportunity for our students to develop their love of reading, discover the inner workings of a library, and take on new responsibilities.

We can’t wait to see what they achieve in the months ahead! 🌟

🎓 Year 10 Sixth Form Taster Event – Final Reminder!

On Monday 6th July, we will be welcoming a range of Sixth Form teachers from Chipping Campden School to deliver exciting taster sessions in subjects that are not currently offered at GCSE.

Students must submit their subject choices to secure their preferred sessions.

⏰ There are just 24 hours remaining to submit choices.

Students who do not make their selections by the deadline will be allocated to sessions where spaces remain available.

Don't miss the opportunity to explore new subjects and experience what Sixth Form study could be like!
