| Theft of car | Reference 26*394379

We are appealing for the public’s help to identify a man in connection with the theft of a car in Shirebrook.

The Renault Scenic was stolen from outside a property in Bryron Street on 4 July.

Enquiries have been ongoing since then and officers are keen to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident as he may have information which could help with our investigation.

We appreciate the picture isn’t the best quality but it is hoped someone will recognise the man.

👮‍♂️🔪🚫 POSITIVE SEARCH - KNIFE SEIZED 🚫🔪👮‍♂️

Whilst on mobile patrol in Shirebrook this afternoon officers from Shirebrook SNT have detained two adults for a stop search due to recent intelligence and the suspicious behaviour of the people.

During the search officers have seized a knife from one of the detained people which has been safely booked into property and is no longer on the streets of Shirebrook.

The suspect has been interviewed for possession of a bladed article in a public place and the investigation into this matter will continue.

👮‍♀️👮‍♂️ Mini Police – Model Village Primary School 🚔

Today, Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team were delighted to spend time with our new Mini Police at Model Village Primary School in Shirebrook! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️

During our first sessions, we talked about the different roles and responsibilities of the police, what our officers do within the community, and how we work to keep people safe.

We also looked ahead to the exciting sessions planned throughout the school year, where our Mini Police will have the opportunity to learn more about policing, teamwork, community safety and the different aspects of a career in policing.

We’re looking forward to working with them over the coming months and seeing their confidence, knowledge and understanding grow. 🌟

A big well done to all of our Mini Police for getting involved today — we’re excited to see what the year has in store! 👏🚔

👮Successful warrant executed in Shirebrook👮

Officers from Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team, working in collaboration with Bolsover & Creswell SNT and Trading Standards, have successfully executed a warrant at an address in Shirebrook.

As a result of the warrant, officers seized:
🚬 14,100 illegal ci******es
🚬 3.55kg of illegal to***co
💷 Combined a total value of £14,600

This is a significant seizure and demonstrates the continued commitment of our teams and partner agencies to tackling the illegal to***co trade within our communities. Illegal to***co can have a wider impact on our communities, including undermining legitimate local businesses and making to***co products more accessible to young people.

| Officers are appealing for CCTV footage and information after an assault on a teenage girl in Shirebrook.

The incident occurred in Swanwick Avenue between 10pm and 10.30pm on 17 August when the teenager was assaulted by a teenage boy.

A group of teenagers were seen in the area around the junction of Swanwick Avenue and South Avenue between 9pm and 11.15pm and we know that a woman walked past the group at around the time of the assault.

Officers would like to speak to her as she may have information which could help with our investigation.

We’d also like to hear from anyone who has CCTV footage from the area during the times mentioned.

With the summer holidays coming to an end, everyone at Shirebrook Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to wish all pupils across Shirebrook and the surrounding areas a happy, successful and, most importantly, safe academic year.

Whether you’re starting at a new school, moving up to the next year, or returning to familiar faces, we hope you’ve had a fantastic summer and are looking forward to the year ahead.

Remember to look out for one another, make positive choices, stay safe and don’t be afraid to speak to a trusted adult if something doesn’t feel right.

👮Community Engagement Invite👮

We are encouraging the public to have their say, at an event at Rhubarb Farm, Hardwick Street, Langwith on the 18/08/2026 at 10:00am. This community meeting gives you the opportunity to raise any concerns and to find out what we are doing to tackle the issues that matter to you, this is also an opportunity for residents to have a say about local Policing.

A Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) has been granted against a prolific offender following persistent offending and behaviour causing concern within the local community.
The order places specific restrictions on the individual, with further offences or breaches potentially resulting in additional criminal action.
