Summer of fun and engagement! 😎🌞🌻
Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings are bringing you a summer of fun and engagement as we promote reading, storytelling and creativity. 📖🖌🎨

Book Treasure Hunt
To celebrate the National Year of Reading, Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings have teamed up with Debbie Robinson of Words and Me Children’s Books to create a Book Treasure Hunt. Explore the historic building and find a book to read and share. Book Treasure Hunts are available Wednesday to coincide with Summer Stories from the Shire.
Summer of Bunting
Continue the theme of storytelling by making your own bunting to decorate the Dye House or to take home with you. Design your own story on the fabric bunting. Draw something that tells a story of something special to you or use the mosaic mural for inspiration. Use fabric paints, felt templates, lettering and printing, or have a go at bunting hands!
Thursday 30 and Friday 31July, 10am to 2pm
Thursday 6 and Friday 7 August, 10am to 2pm
Thursday 13 August and Friday 14 August, 10am to 2pm

These free drop-ins are available for all ages. A simple version of the activity is accessible for very small children. No need to book.
