Shrewsbury Library We are a lending library in the gorgeous Grade I and II-listed former school of Charles Darwin

We have 40,000 books on site and also e-books, e-magazines and loads of online resources. We reckon we can find something for anybody amongst all that lot!! Come and test us :)

Regular events for kids, adults and everyone in between include Books Aloud, Lego Club, Story and Rhyme Times and oodles of bespoke shenanigans happening all the time. We have computers on site, scanners, photocopying and more. We have a BIGTrack trackball mouse, and large print keyboard, available on request. You can also hire our Hobbs Room for private events and more. People always say libraries are more than just books - we think libraries are all about people.

Come and meet the Employability and Enterprise Programme team at Shrewsbury Library!
We're hosting friendly drop-in sessions during the week commencing 2nd November, with team
members available from 1pm to 3pm on Monday to Friday.
If you're a young adult aged 18 to 30 years, why not stop by for a chat and discover more
about the support available through the programme? We offer:
• wellbeing support
• volunteering opportunities to build confidence, skills and experience
• business start-up workshops and enterprise support
Whether you're looking to improve your wellbeing, gain experience, explore your future options
or develop a business idea, we'd love to meet you.
No need to book, just drop in and say hello!

My Very Own Space by Pippa Goodhart is a delightful book exploring the balance between sharing and having personal space. Little Rabbit just wants some peace to read his book but maybe sometimes it is good to share with others too?

The Sashiko Geometric Patterns Workshop and the showing of the People's Emergency Briefing are now full but the rest of our Green Libraries Week events are free to attend with no booking required.

The Veolia Upcycling Workshop is a creative craft session where children will get hands on learning how to repair jeans and reusing their textiles by making unwanted T-shirts into exciting tote bags. there is no need to book, just come along.
